Meet Amina – A future doctor

Amina, an 8-year-old from a rural village, used to skip school to search for food. Today, thanks to the meals provided through AMFED, she attends school every day, dreams of becoming a doctor, and is excelling in her studies.

The school that turned around

One of our partner schools in Gambia (Aljamdu Lower Basic School) had an attendance rate of just 12% before AMFED’s support. Within six months of providing daily meals, attendance skyrocketed to 98%, giving children the opportunity to learn without worrying about hunger.
